Tomorrow

From Shakespeare’s Macbeth:
To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I look at the events in today’s Jerusalem news about this poor player, the U.S. Secretary of State, who struts and frets his hour upon the stage thinking he is something and will achieve something to his glory as he makes his threats against my Creator God’s land of Israel. It is indeed a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. He may very well think he is right, but God is the author of the state of Israel, not man. He needs to wake up from his dream of grandeur before he finds himself in the hands of Israel’s Eternal God.
