Thoughts on History

His Thots 96ANumbers 13:2a  “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I give to the people of Israel;

Because of the sins of the people in the land, this Creator God has chosen to give the land to the people of Israel. This has been His intention since before Abraham became a believer in this Creator God. Now we have the biblical history that after the spies returned from spying out the land that they saw the people of the land were too strong for them to conquer. Only two believed what God had said and were ready to obey. (This God of creation knows what is best for us and how to cause us to live that better life.) Obedience to the Creator is the way to succeed, no matter what direction one intends to go.

It is obvious to me that this God sees from a different perspective than we do and sees much more than we do. Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Therefore, when the children of Israel rebelled against His word and Him, He caused them to wander about in the wilderness for forty years as He still took care of them with food and water and etcetera until they could see that His promise to take them into the Promised Land would actually be a reality in their lives. When God makes a promise, He cannot break that promise and never does. So, it was the next generation who obtained the promise given.

This may be a bit wordy but I hope it brings across that this Creator has all the best intentions for us all to live a wonderful life here and hereafter.
