Wars

James 4:1-3 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.  You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Here in the Middle East, there are wars and rumors of wars that have been going on, seems like since the beginning of time. Not much has changed since God spoke those words over Ishmael; Genesis 16:12 He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Ishmael has been blessed with so very much land and yet he is fighting in every way to get this little piece of property which God has allotted to Isaac and his descendants. – Not only that but, he seems to want the whole world under his control. I look at the disturbances going on all over the world and so much of it can be traced back to Ishmael and his tribe of ancestors.

As for me, I want what the Creator God has for me and nothing more. I want to be able to steer people in the direction of the Creator and all the blessings that go with it. I do not think that is too much to ask and I do ask in faith that I may spend it on the faithful. I pray this little blog of mine will reach hearts that want something better than strife.
