Psalm 37:3-4 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Herein is the dilemma for a lot of people, who do we trust? Do we really trust in our own judgments or our own way of life, or the neighborhood we live in? What is it that we really, I mean Really trust. Even the locking systems of today, most are really untrustworthy.
Some years ago, I drove for a tow truck company and part of the employment had to do with breaking into cars without damage so that they could be towed away. There were many times that we would get a call from a person who had trouble mechanically with his car and had to leave it “locked” where it was and go on to his place of employment or other appointment. We, of course had no keys to the vehicle, so we actually had to break in and sometimes with the help of a police officer to direct traffic, remove the car and be on our way. I remember once thanking an officer for helping me steal a car which of course wasn’t true but it did get a reaction from him.
As I look at today’s world, especially in the Middle East, There is truly only one source that is trustworthy and that is the Father of lights and redeemer of my soul. The Creator knows my heart and the needs that pertain to my family and I am so very confident in His understanding and ability, there is nowhere else that I could turn with absolute confidence. Yes, with absolute trust.
