2 Chronicle 5:13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,
This book of instructions that I have been talking about, the bible, it occurs to me, is a bit like a sort of symphony. The orchestra with all the different instruments and voices have a part to play in the overall piece of music must be in harmony with one another or the piece goes flat or sour. If any voice or instrument sounds in the wrong place, it causes disruption and discord.
This is such a good example to me of what the author and finisher of our faith has set out for us. The symphony of our lives and the lives of all those around us depends on all following the score.
We can look at any game of sports and see that there are certain rules that must be followed or a foul is determined and possibly a player is sent out of the game. It seems to me that we are in the game of Life and if we do not walk according to the rules set up for this game, we become disqualified and are not allowed to enter into the victory celebration at the finish.
As I look at the world today, there are many if not most that are playing a different tune or by their own rules and it is all becoming a mess. We must play by the rules or we will be put out of the game. Harmony is the key. Let’s keep to the instructions.
