Passover

Passover

Exodus 12:23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

This is a feast of the Lord; it has nothing to do with bunny rabbits and eggs which are part of a pagan ceremony. This is a time when the Lord God of Creation set His people Israel free from the bondage of hard labor in Egypt after 430 years. They were set free to serve their God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This feast is a remembrance feast in celebration of all that God has done for them.

This holiday has nothing to do with the Anglo-Saxon goddess, Eostre, a queen of the spring Equinox. There are so many pagan traditions that have crept into one of the most important feasts of the Jewish and Christian calendar. This really has to do with the death of Yeshua on that cross to pay the price for our sins. He paid the price of the payment we were required to pay, His blood, as the Lamb of God cleanses us IF we accept all that He did for us. He has taken us from darkness and brought us into His marvelous light. As a result, death no longer has a claim on any who will acknowledge that He is in truth, Lord, Son of the Creator God.

So, place the blood of the sinless Lamb, Yeshua, on the doorpost of your heart and enter into a fabulous eternal LIFE with Him.
