Pre – Mid – Post

Focus

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

But when?  I have heard so many different versions on this “rapture” theory, I have heard pre-tribulation, and pre wrath, I have heard mid tribulation, after the first three and a half years of the reign of the anti-Christ. I have also heard post tribulation, but the majority, at least in America, are of the assumption that the “rapture” will take place before any bad stuff happens. I understand this very well as most arm chair believers are ready to be whisked away before anything bad could happen to them. Well, according to what I read yesterday as I put together the “Days of Noah” view, Matthew 24 says quite clearly that the angels will then, after the tribulation of those days, be sent out to gather the elect from the four corners of heaven.

Matthew 24:29-31 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

For me, this ends the argument, Pre Wrath.
