Revelation 7:9-12 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” And Revelation 7:14 “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
It just seems to me that we have Christians around the world who are suffering and dying for their faith in a merciful Creator God but for the most part, I see so many armchair Christians (especially in the USA) who are just expecting God to catch them up into a utopian glory that requires nothing of them except that they believe that Jesus is their salvation from any kind of trouble. But, what if all this theology is wrong and a real tribulation starts and catches them unaware, what then? I think I would like to have some armor that has been tried and fits and I can fight in before I get caught unawares. The word of Jeremiah 12:5 comes to me; if you’re worn out in this footrace with men, what makes you think you can race against horses? And if you can’t keep your wits during times of calm, what’s going to happen when troubles break loose like the Jordan in flood? The time to start training for a big fight is not when you’re already in the ring with a warrior who wants your head.
Think on these things and be ready for anything.
