Revelation 3:10 &13 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
I was looking this morning at the book of Revelation and reading what was to be said to the seven churches (congregations) in chapter two and three. They each had strengths and areas that needed to be worked on. Among the strengths were; patience, perseverance, did not deny the name or faith and had love and works. But, I see patience and perseverance in troubled times as one of the keys. Faith that He will do all He has said He will do is another. But, what struck me was the church of Laodicea that felt that it was rich and wealthy and in need of nothing. But God saw them as wretched, miserable, blind, poor and naked. Now I wonder where each one of us stands in all of this. When push comes to shove and more, will any of us hold firm unto death, the name of the Creator and Jesus, Yeshua? Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Which church (congregation) do we belong to or how many of the good attributes do we have? I speak to myself as well and say to us all; “Testing, Testing”.
