Sparrows

Sparrow

Matthew 10:29-33 (The Message Bible) “What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries. “Stand up for me against world opinion and I’ll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I’ll cover for you?

I look at this little bird and think of how the Creator God feeds and takes care of all such wild animals and how He feeds and takes care of us as we put our lives in His capable hands. Do we think that this little sparrow has thoughts of fear of not having enough food? Or where will I sleep tonight? No, he is in his Father’s arms and can find shelter and food everywhere. When we put our lives in the Father’s hands, we are taken care of just as this little creature and it becomes the normal way of life to live in God’s prosperity. I must let go of my thinking of how and when and where and let my Heavenly Father make those decisions.

Matthew 10:28-29 (NKJ) And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
