A Dusting

A Dusting

Job 37:6 For He says to the snow, ‘fall on the earth’; likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.

There was a snowfall here in Jerusalem last night and it is frozen to the ground. There was about an inch or slightly more but pretty anyway. Where I was born and brought up in Maine, USA, we would call this kind of snowfall, a dusting. Nice to look at but does not inhibit movement in any way. Here in Jerusalem, it is bit of a different story. Fortunately this is Shabbat and nothing is moving anyway so it is a blessing.

The photo was taken from the Haas Sherover Promenade overlooking the Hinnom Valley, the Old City of Jerusalem and beyond.

  1. I know you have what might be called a dusting over your eyesight but you have seen the depth and colours here with other eyes – such a beautiful capture is one for the wall!
