Job 33:14-16 For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction.
I find that dreams are a bit like sugar cubes in that while one is dreaming, they are crystal clear and sharp in definition as if one were actually experiencing the events. However, once you are awake, they are a bit like these sugar cubes get dropped into a container of water and they start to disappear.
Dreams have a tendency to dissolve into the fabric of time.
