The End of the Beginning

End of the Beginning

Genesis 7:11-12 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened, and the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

From chapter 4 to chapter 6 of Genesis, we have a span of 1656 years (in accordance with the genealogy listed in chapter five). It is hard to grasp the reality of all that took place in those years since man and all his children had a lifespan of nearly 1000 years. Originally He was formed to live eternally as it was in the Garden, but …. Once expelled from the Garden, his lifespan was reduced to a thousand years. According to “The Word”, it was in Noah’s time that the Lord caused man’s lifespan to be reduced again to 120 years. Lust seems to have abounded then, not so unlike today, but Love, very little of it, only Noah found favor in Gods eyes.

Isaiah 14:12a “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! And Isaiah 14:16b-17 ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?’

We are seeing Lucifer’s fingerprints everywhere in the world today with terror, murder, rape, greed, and a gross disregard for life and property. The Creator of our lives has given us a book of instructions which happens to be a best seller but the evidence of those instructions being practiced is not so prevalent. Any form of hate or persecution of our neighbor is against Gods foundational law of love which should be written in our hearts. We may hate what some do but that is another matter, what spirit is it that moves them? The Word says, we shall know them by their fruits. It looks like the days of Noah are nearly upon us again.
