Genesis 5:1-2 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
Starting with Adam and onward to the time of Noah, we only have nine (9) generations, yet in those generations we have one thousand and fifty six years (1056) covered. Since Adam and Eve are the same age after leaving the Garden, she was one hundred and thirty (130) when she gave birth to Seth who is the first male she delivered after Cain and Able. In the genealogical lines, according to Genesis 5, the only mention of a female being born is: and had sons and daughters. My thinking is that there may have been quite a number of daughters that were born both before the first born male and also after, as they were living some nine hundred plus years for each individual of “mankind”. As the Creator had said, “be fruitful and fill the earth”. I wonder just what the population of the earth might have been at the time of Noah.
