Genesis One – A Very Busy Day Six

Alliance Church International Cemetery in Jerusalem. This historic cemetery on south Jerusalem's trendy Emek Refaim Street. This mural called "Jerusalem Wall of Life" painted by Patricia Solveson. This portion represents the life of Adam and his wife Eve in the garden of Eden. The entire mural is longer than a football field. http://www.jerusalemwalloflife.org/ For me, this is the best artists representation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, before the fall, that I have ever seen.

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

At this point, I need to go into Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

We have here three different words which are connotative of three different meanings. The word make is very similar in meaning to the word formed. The word create has the meaning, according to my understanding, something out of what appears to be nothing. As I see it and as I have listened to the Lord about this, He is creating an entirely different species, a species after His, Their, likeness. Does this means multiple personalities within one frame as He says, “male and female” He created them. Is this a part of His likeness? Elohim (God)  in the Hebrew is a plural word and we see in the scriptures that we find different words for God according to which aspect we are referring to. (In the English, it is God, Lord and Angel of the Lord) The Hebrew words for God are quite different. From the Christian perspective, Elohim, God, has a plural nature as the man that He created has. There is the physical man, the soulish thinking man, and the Spiritual man yet is called “Man”.  But here we have yet another aspect in that God forms him, male and female. I will not go further with this other than physically we are either one or the other. Later on in chapter two, He removes that female aspect and forms it into a woman as Adam names her. This is the way God created it to be and today our fallen nature is trying to make it irrelevant and we can choose what we want to be or not to be. What a very sad and despicable place this world has and is becoming. Enough said on this subject. What God had originally created was beautiful and harmonious without excuse.
