Shelved

This little doll sits on a shelf in a shop full of old stuff especially tools of all kinds. This little playthingl seems so out of place here but makes me feel a bit sad. It gives the sense of "almost" forgotten but waiting for the right time to reappear. Like so many of our thoughts of events gone by that we recollect from time to time. For us older dudes, it is a bit like remembering those great days of the fifties. But, those days are gone, just like 2015, gone but not forgotten ... yet.

John 16:33 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

I took this picture back in 2009 and it came to my mind immediately yesterday morning as I thought; here we are in 2016 already. Time is getting very slippery these days. It took me all day yesterday and today to find it considering I have about 150,000 pix to go through which I have yet to categorize.

The one thing we must hang on to these days and not relegate it to the shelf is our commitment to the Lord of all creation and where He is taking us. This is a journey where we are continually looking to see what is just around the next bend or over the top of the next mountain. I think there are some fantastic glorious days ahead as well as some pretty awful stuff but in Him we will overcome.
