The Word

These are the Judean Hills outside of Jerusalem on the way to the Dead Sea. In the very bottom of the photo to thye right, there is a Bedouin community. This could be one household or possibly more. Bedouin usually have sheep and goats and I have always wondered how they keep them alive is such a barren environment. I love it so much, living in Jerusalem, one the one hand, in the dead of winter, you can travel fo0r forty-five minutes and go swimming in the Dead Sea or you can get your skis out and within a couple of hours be skiing on Mount Hermon in the North of the country. I used to love to go hiking in the Ein Gedi Mountain range on the first of January when I was younger. The temp there would be a lovely 70 F or 21 C usually a beautiful day. It was a very busy day but had the opportunity to grab this shot along with another fifty to go with it.

Genesis 1:3 Then God said ….. John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Thus, where are we today in the evidence presented before us? For the most part, as I live in Israel, in Jerusalem, there is still an adamant refusal to believe that Yeshua could be God in the flesh. There are even laws stating that if you believe in Yeshua, a Jew by birth to Jewish parents is no longer a Jew. Yet, the scriptures throughout the old covenant allude to this God being a multiple entity. Deuteronomy 6:4 (Names of God Bible) Listen, Israel: Yahweh is ur Elohim. Yahweh is the only God. Love Yahweh, your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Yet, here, we have the name God (YudHayVavHay) , your Elohim … wait, Elohim is a plural word in the Hebrew language. Here it is again in the New King James version of the bible:  “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one![b]  and there is a reference to a bit more understanding [b] Or The Lord is our God, the Lord alone (that is, the only one) Again, we are told that this God has created us in His image. Genesis 1:26 (NOG translation) Then Elohim said, “Let us make humans in our image, in our likeness. What does that mean? I am one person but as has been proved, I have a physical body, a soul, my thinking mechanism and I am also a Spirit being, I am, thus, three in one. Could I then say, “Let us go to the beach tomorrow? But wait, you cannot see the other parts of me does that mean therefor that I am no longer a human being because I claim to be a spiritual being?, of course not. Because you are a physical being, you can only see my physical manifestation yet I am an unseen spiritual being as well just as we could only see Elohim in the physical form of Yeshua does not mean He was not also a spiritual being in the form of Elohim.
