Truth

Psalm 117:2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever.

It is extremely important that the Lords truth endures; otherwise everything would be in chaos. There would be no firm foundation to build anything upon. Life would be like a house of cards in every way. Even the smallest things that we know would not be stable. Can you imagine planting a few carrot seeds and at the harvest we would have some potatoes or onions and maybe a carrot or two. Nothing would be reliable. Expectations without truth would be fruitless about anything as guidelines of stability would be unreliable.

This Creator God is so infinite in all that He has created, including us. When truth is active, we can expect a result that is exactly in line with what is planted or stated. If someone tells you a truth, it can be counted on to be as declared in the end result, but if you are told a lie, the end result will not necessarily be as stated. It is still quite amazing that this God has put His words in the hearts of men to write them down so that we can have a firm foundation to rely on. The Bible is the only truly firm foundation upon which to build a life upon. It has been proven to be reliable over and over again throughout the ages.
