Psalm 139: 13-16 (MSG) Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.
I have been under construction for a very long time as we see it in this present life. I can say that I am 78 years 2 months and 4 days old but actually, I am a bit older than that since I must add an extra 9 months since my conception in mother’s womb. So actually, I am more like, just under, by 26 days, 79 years old. We all have an extra time of life to consider if we are honest about it. We were under construction in that safe place in Mother’s womb till we were ready to be pushed out into this world that we are now a part of. As I look at it now, I am fairly close to being pushed out into that next life which I will exist in for the rest of eternity. The question for all of us is, will we be pushed out into everlasting darkness or everlasting Light? For some of us it will be a terrifying darkness of eternal torment and for others, eternal glorious Light and that real life which is far more real than anything we have ever known before as told in the book of instructions, the Bible.
In the stage of construction we are now a part of, we have a certain amount of say in what kind of building we are becoming. Are we becoming a building of wood, hay or stubble or are we allowing ourselves to be built into gold, silver or precious stones? We have a say in this as we have been given authority to choose the materials we are being built with. According to this Word, the wood, hay and stubble will be burned up in the fire, and the gold, silver and precious stones will endure this fire that we shall all pass through into the next phase of existence, or not. We are all given the right to choose “life” or a “curse” as stated in Deuteronomy 30:19 (MSG) I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. There is a choice we all must make.
