“Wilderness Journey”

wilderness

Deuteronomy 8:2  You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

“This wilderness is where it is only God who can cause us to survive for a lifetime, if we will listen.”

As I was doing my morning reading in the Word of God, I came across Deuteronomy 8 where the children of Israel were in the wilderness and The God of Heaven was talking with them about their situation and where they were. But, He was also speaking of where they were headed, the Promised Land.

It occurs to me that, in a sense, the Lord has brought us all out of the womb, a sort of entrapment, into a world of harshness and unforgivness. The earth life is to try us and test us to see what is in our hearts. He, God, intends to bring us all into the ‘Promised Land’ but first, He must, He must know what is in our heart, do we want what He has to offer or do we want to follow our own way? That Promised Land is His Kingdom of Heaven but, it is surrounded by high walls and gates of pearl to keep out those who are not of the right heart and mind to enjoy its rules of order and purity of spirit.

It is this wilderness journey where we find ourselves today, where, according to His Word in the scriptures that, if we listen to His voice, He has promised to give us everything we need to prosper and be in health. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. This life which is God given is a wilderness journey to get us to the Promised Land where He will give us the new bodies that will conform to His Kingdom Paradise.

I encourage you to read Deuteronomy 8. Actually, the whole Bible is your guide to Paradise.

“Strictly Personal”

strictly-personal

Genesis 3:9-11 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

This God of Creation is not just a law giver but a personal being who has every desire to communicate with us. Why on earth would an impersonal God send His one and only Son, Yeshua/Jesus to give us those years of communication informing us of what the Father of all humanity was like? Yeshua showed us that His Father wants to heal us of all the wounded-ness we have received through Adam and Eve in the garden. We have been naked and have continually hidden ourselves from Him to this day. But, this Father of Lights wants to bring us out of the darkness and give us a freedom and a hope which is what this season of Christ-mas is all about. He is a personal relational God and Father who is calling, “Where are you?” Yeshua wants to remove the self-inflicted blindfold and bring us back into His marvelous Light. I believe the Lord God of Creation spoke to me and put this on my heart today as there are too many who think this God is only a Creator and not one who wants an intimate relationship. He is calling us back to the Garden and Yeshua is proof of that. Have a Blessed Christmas.

To Be or not To Be

To Be or not To Be

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Possibly I should have titled this “relationship” as this is exactly what gives the follower of Yeshua that overcoming edge. It is not what we say or what we know; it is what we do with regard to the King of Kings. How do we relate and walk with and let Him govern our lives? Do we know His voice, have we been born from above and been baptized into His Holy Spirit? This Holy Spirit baptism is a baptism of spiritual fire that actually changes one’s life to follow after the King rather than our own self-centered desires. In my own experience, it has been an exciting journey. When we meet Him, whenever that day comes, I want to hear, “Well done” and not “Depart from Me” I want to know Him and be motivated in my daily life by Him, the alternative is too dark for me to contemplate.
