1Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
Isaiah 40:7-8 Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.
We are born into this world as flesh and blood and the word of God says that we, as flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. That tells me that along the way of our life, something else must happen or take place in order for me to inherit that glorious Kingdom of God that is spoken of in His word, the Bible.
John 3:1-8 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Jesus, Yeshua, came to show those who wanted to know, the way to inherit His Kingdom. It is not the flesh and blood that enters His Kingdom but the spirit of the man that enters. It is with the desire of the heart that will cause one to be able and willing to follow that narrow road to “life”. One must want to walk in His light and forsake the darkness of this physical world.
John3:19-21 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
We are born with a body, a soul and a spirit; it is the spirit that has the ability to go on beyond the shedding of the body. The word also says that the spirit is willing but the body is weak.
Enough for today!
