Things Not Seen

Things Not Seen-01

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

I took this picture as a double example of things not seen. First of all, this bamboo lace-work is made up of mostly empty space. I am not talking about the areas between the lace-work but of the bamboo itself. The bamboo is a complex mix of atoms, protons and neutrons as well as everything infinitely smaller than that which gets into quantum physics and mechanics. There are strings that are so much smaller than the protons and neutrons which are actually vibrating at a specific frequency. This is what makes bamboo, bamboo. If the strings are vibrating at a different rate and the atoms are of a different sort, we would have something completely different such as stone or oak, or metal of some sort. My point being that everything we see in the physical natural realm is made up of things we cannot see, such as atoms. A tree is a combination of atoms as is the gravel on the highway or the water we drink. Water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen with a lot of impurities mixed in. Depending on the temperature, this combination can be a solid, ice, a liquid wet water, or a gas, steam or vapor. However, in every state, it is still hydrogen and oxygen of which, neither can be seen. Thus the above scripture reference begins to take on a new meaning. Can we suppose that the worlds were made from nothing or from things unseen? So, what does that do for or against the big bang theory? I think it puts it full of holes.

Think about this for a moment, are you breathing? What are you breathing, stuff that cannot be seen. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. In other words, we exist on stuff that cannot be seen.

Now, back to my double example of things unseen, the bamboo lacework was photographed through a piece of glass. This glass makes up our windows and mirrors and table-tops and etc., which are made up of sand, soda, sulfate and dolomite. The mixture of these items is super-heated to the point where they are invisible yet solid.

Things Not Seen-02

I guess my point being that we live in a world of stuff that is made up of things unseen. There is, in my opinion, a greater world out there and around us that is still unseen. My point, this God that we cannot see is real as is His adversary.
