Heaven – Another Dimension?

Genesis 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Genesis 22:15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven,

When this bible speaks of angels speaking “out of heaven” rather than from heaven above, is it giving an indication that that heaven is right here but we just cannot see it? I am not proposing this is fact, I am asking myself these questions as I read, as I have said, I am on a search and the Word does say that if you search, you will find. There are dimensions of unseen beings that surround us all the time. I was in a meeting once, years ago when I actually saw the hall filled with angels that were praising the Creator God just as the assembly was. As I saw this, there was another person in the crowd that came running up to the platform to tell the assembly what he had seen and it confirmed exactly what I had seen so I know it was not just a figment of my imagination or wishful thinking. There is a friend we have here in Jerusalem who regularly sees guardian angels around people and I know she is not some kind of flake. We hear of pastors and missionaries who regularly see the demonic realm so they can pray for the people who are being oppressed. They also see the angelic realm as part of their ministry. It is recorded too often in the bible to be discounted that this invisible realm exists. 2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. This is just one example recorded in the bible, there are some 280 instances of angels recorded that the God of Creation wants us to be aware of.

Heaven – Where is it?

Genesis 11:4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

From Wikipedia: Burj Khalifa, known as Burj Dubai before its inauguration, is a megatall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the tallest artificial structure in the world, standing at 829.8 m.

I have to say that by the world’s standards, they have made a name for themselves. Again, by the “World’s Standards” it is an impressive building and its top is in the heavens but, what have they really achieved? What the mind of man can conceive and believe, he can achieve. I wonder if they really believe that they have become like gods.

John 16:33 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

1John 5:5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

 

I am on a quest to find answers to my question; Heaven, where is it? Is it a place somewhere in the vast expanse of the universe or is it a state of mind or is it another dimension right here and now? I am searching and the Word tells me that if I search, I will find. Stay tuned for more on this.

Resistance

 

Acts 7:51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

As I thought about this scripture, I am well aware of the resistance that comes when one even mentions the name Yeshua, (Hebrew for Jesus). There is even a law in Israel that if one believes in Yeshua, he is no longer a Jew. John 11:47-48 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.  If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”

 It seems that not much has changed since Jesus, Yeshua, came on the scene so long ago.
