Esther 3:8 (The Israel Bible) ….whose laws are different from those of any other people The Jewish people are governed, for the most part, by a higher law, a Spiritual law given by a Spiritual leader called by the Hebrew name, Elohim or by the English common name, God. These laws are all written down in the best-selling book of all time called, the Bible. The author, Elohim, is the Creator of all the elements in the universe and has an understanding far, far beyond anything we can comprehend and only those who He has allowed to be born into His Spirit can begin to understand the ultimate knowledge of this book of instructions and hear His voice. The physical man guided by the human spirit is fallen from grace and is following the spirit of Haman who is being led by that old, old enemy of God called by his proper name, Lucifer (the deceiver). Lucifer leads the dark side of life and Jesus/Yeshua leads the “Light” side. Christians and Jews are hated because the world cannot discern the Spirit.
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
When a person lives in Israel, especial;;y in Jerusalem, one seems to see the word of God from a whole different perspective. I, as a Gentile, have lived in Jerusalem for 30 years and I have seen a lot, and learned a lot and understand a lot of the culture and celebrations here. There are specific holy days (holidays) that are very special to the Jewish people and that this God of the bible has mandated that should be attended. There is Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. In Hebrew, they are, Pesach, Shavuot, and Succoth. These three times a year, one will find most hotels full but especially in the season of Succoth, Tabernacles, it will be very hard to find a room anywhere. Thus, when I look at this simple statement in Luke of Yeshua being born in Bethlehem in a stable rather than in an Inn, because there was no room, it immediately tells me it was because of the most holy of days in Jerusalem. And again, why would Joseph have traveled on foot and donkey all the way from Nazareth to Bethlehem just to register for the census if he didn’t already need to be in Jerusalem according to God’s word? Bethlehem is only about two and a half miles or 4 Kilometers from Jerusalem. And again why the Inn would be fully occupied if not for all the visitors for the feast? This tiny statement alone leads me to believe that Yeshua was born during one of the high Holy days prescribed especially Succoth.
This thought has been on my mind for the past week and I just had to share it.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life …..
How does one wrap the perfect gift? What kind of wrapping for the most expensive gift of all time? And, in fact, what kind of container shall this gift be given in, let alone all the rest? This God of Creation has the perfect answer to all these questions and more. He decided to give a gift to all of mankind, a gift that will never stop giving throughout eternity. Of course this all happened around two thousand years ago but it is still so unique that it continues to go far beyond what any of us could have come up with. This pure Love decided to give the world Himeslf in the person of His Son. It goes so far beyond that, but for what I want to share today is going to rattle a few cages. As we all know, the container which He decide to use was the willing body of a Jewish virgin girl living in Nazareth, Israel named Meriam/Mary. This is the package He decided to use and she was willing to go along with His decision. He then decided to implant this young girl with His son Who would be the Light of the world on the 25th of December, not to be revealed to the world till nine months later. The Perfect Gift at the perfect time to be revealed at His chosen Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth). The Hebrew word ‘Succoth’ means, God with us. Yes, the Light of the world entered the world at December 25th but the world did not know of it till nine months later when He was fully formed. That is when the angels gave the shepherds the news, in September, before the rainy season when they would have been in the fields watching over their sheep. (Sheep’s wool absorbs a lot of water and they would become too heavy to move around in the rainy season) In Israel, you will not find but extremely few sheep or shepherds in the fields from November till March. The Word proves all of this, by the way. Enough said for today. You are welcome to make comments.
