“Wilderness Journey”

wilderness

Deuteronomy 8:2  You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

“This wilderness is where it is only God who can cause us to survive for a lifetime, if we will listen.”

As I was doing my morning reading in the Word of God, I came across Deuteronomy 8 where the children of Israel were in the wilderness and The God of Heaven was talking with them about their situation and where they were. But, He was also speaking of where they were headed, the Promised Land.

It occurs to me that, in a sense, the Lord has brought us all out of the womb, a sort of entrapment, into a world of harshness and unforgivness. The earth life is to try us and test us to see what is in our hearts. He, God, intends to bring us all into the ‘Promised Land’ but first, He must, He must know what is in our heart, do we want what He has to offer or do we want to follow our own way? That Promised Land is His Kingdom of Heaven but, it is surrounded by high walls and gates of pearl to keep out those who are not of the right heart and mind to enjoy its rules of order and purity of spirit.

It is this wilderness journey where we find ourselves today, where, according to His Word in the scriptures that, if we listen to His voice, He has promised to give us everything we need to prosper and be in health. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. This life which is God given is a wilderness journey to get us to the Promised Land where He will give us the new bodies that will conform to His Kingdom Paradise.

I encourage you to read Deuteronomy 8. Actually, the whole Bible is your guide to Paradise.

“What If ?”

Non-existance

Proverbs 22:7&9 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave. He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

We watched an old movie last night from 1946, “It’s a Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stewart.

The one part of the story was what the world would look like if he had never existed. And that spurned this little daily journal today.

I ask you to look around at the world you live in, the friends and family, the nearly insignificant things that have happened around you and your relationship to all of it. What would the world look like if you had never existed? Every encounter we have had with another person even since we were babies, the effect we had on our parents and siblings, everything, has made a difference in this world we live in. The effect could have been good or bad but it has made a difference and now with the internet and cell phones and “what’s app”, we are touching people around the world at a moment’s notice.

And again what would your world look like if so and so did not exist or had never existed? Thus it is safe to say that your life has made a difference in the world we live in whether we are an activist or a couch potato, your views, your understanding, and all that you are makes a difference to the rest of the world wide population whether you are aware of it or not.

“YOU” are an important asset to the world and if you had not existed at all, the world would be a different place.

Think about it, seriously.

“Born Again”

Metamorphosis 96

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
I have had this experience; back in 2002 I nearly died from the radiation and chemotherapy given to me by my earthly doctors. I had cancer in my throat and according to the doctors in the medical profession; I would die if I did nothing about it. They scheduled a series of treatments and about half the way through these, I had a vision from my heavenly Doctor, Yeshua. In this vision, I heard His voice say, “You are clean.” The next day, I stopped the treatments against all in the world that said I was rather stupid for that decision.
Three months later, I was reading in the bible, John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. I almost fell off my chair. I knew that I knew that I had made the right decision about the treatment for the cancer, God. It was two months later that I had a CT Scan and the doctor called me into his office and said these very words, “You’re Clean” My mind rejoiced that out of mouth of two or three witnesses, all things shall be established.
It was a few weeks later when I was praying with my pastors that the Lord showed me the image of a butterfly who has had a metamorphosis. That, in a sense is what happens when we become ‘born again’ the Creator give us a new life ‘with wings’.
