“The Garden”

Isaiah 1:18  “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

One might truly ask, what has this scripture to do with this picture? Well, not immediately but what is in store. Jennifer, my wife and I have moved yet once again. We are expecting that this will be our last move till we go to glory. But we now have possibilities for a real garden of sorts. We are well aware of the condition and work that will be involved in turning these areas into something we can appreciate and will be inviting to all who commune with us.

As I was looking out the window at the garden area on the left of the two pictures above, I saw a white patch just under the window and wondered as to what kind of trash had drifted into the area. Thus, I went out to see and get rid of the stuff only to find that our Lord had given us a sign of His love and care. This is what I found and could hardly believe the radiant beauty of this lovely gem and the above scripture immediately came to mind.

“On the Merry-go-round”

Jerusalem-96-0418

Psalm 150 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

As I live in this wonderful God ordained country, I am constantly aware of the awesome privilege I have to live here. My present dwelling place within this city is between the hustle and bustle of the downtown area and the absolute quietness of the country. It is a quiet suburb I guess you could call it. Because I am a temporary resident, there are certain things that must be maintained in order to live life as a continuous flow. Those uncertain things sometimes get out of order and then it feels like I am on a merry-go-round. That is what this photo reminded me of as I was out for my morning jaunt through the neighborhood. There seems to always be something that doesn’t quite fit into the scheme of things to keep this life in constant near chaos. I would not change a thing for this wonderful experience of living in the city of the Great King.
Thank you Lord.

Jacob – Israel

Spirit realm

Genesis 32:28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

So here we see the reason behind the name change, God is Spirit and those who worship Him must do so in Spirit and in truth. And once his name had been changed, he became the recipient of all that would go with that amount of Spiritual dimension he was willing to accept and receive. It is the same for all of us today. In the book of revelation, it states that if one overcomes this world “I will write on him My new name.”

At the time when God came to earth in the person of Yeshua, He explained these truths to us since, for the most part, we had become hard of hearing and lacking in understanding. He made this very clear to a member of the religious order as He spoke of the Spiritual dimension of life. This Spiritual life is of utmost importance if one expects to understand this Creators desire to bring all into His dimension. There are pre-requisites for entrance and He set them out in the first five books of Moses. Without that heart of love and compassion, the doors will be closed to everlasting “life”. As set forth in Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
